Dropped HCI this semester to maintain some level of sanity this quarter – it was going to be a lot of work and not so new to me – definitely want to take it next quarter.
For now, lots and lots of reading to learn about the basic theories, methodologies, best-practices and so on of Education.
TONS OF NOTES TODAY:
I just realized how much this computer affected me and my career… I was fascinated by Logo… the Turtle you could program to draw on the screen… I was around 10 years old – my first glance at programming I guess… or making “art” with tech.
Amazing tool that we are using here to communicate and share content amongst the cohort. Create channels based on topics, message people directly, upload photos and so on…
To the beach and to the woods!
Went for a walk at The Dish and ran into a very nice couple – she’s from Brazil and he works at Facebook.
In today’s class we went over the general gist of the program, talked to LDTers from last year and shared our Compass Exercise (first homeworl) with the person sitting next to us.
I had the great pleasure of experiencing Matej’s pixel art version of the exercise!
