Wet

Very very wet day. Gloves are not that waterproof. Changing to my
snowboarding gloves. Jacket pants and boots holding up well.

In a small town called Angelica warming up and getting something in my
belly 😉

Beautifull rainbow on the road – too wet to take camera out.

First morning

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring…

Tent is quite dry inside but have to set it up a little better next
time.

Tonight definitely going for a hotel – my laptop battery is gone and
want to upload some videos. Also will be good to take a shower.

Going to try to make it to Cleveland, OH today but let see how much
progress I make in this rain.

Reminds me of storms at sea – you hate it but when the sun comes out
you get an unbeatable feeling of reward.

First stop

Found a camping site near Birminghton NY – staying here for the night. Nice and quiet by a river.

First day was cold – had to stop and put the inner linings for my jacket and pants. Got a little rain but nothing major.

Feeling good 🙂

Can’t wait to get to Yellowstone!!

Bye bye Ny!

So my trip has started – going from NY to Sao Paulo, Brazil on my motorcycle!

Crazy? Yes – a little – but it’s the perfect timing.

NY and ITP were great – learned so much and met many interesting people, not to mention some good friends that I had not seen in a while!

So – first day riding – colder than I expected and less cell phone coverage than expected. Right now for example – at a dinner 2 hours north of NY heading towards Woodstock and Platekill Mt where I broke my ankle 12 years ago – just want to see the mountain again 🙂

Will probably stop around 4 pm and find a camping site to sleep.

Going to be alone until I get to LA – my friend who was supposed to come with me from LA could not make it. In LA I will meet up with another friend who will go until SP with me 🙂

Photos and videos to come later.

KTM Adventure 990 installing Scotts Steering Damper

This weekend Marcos and I installed a steering damper for my motorcycle – it is a shock absorber for the steering.

It was a little painful at the start without the correct tools but once we got them it was great… well – apart for my clumsiness – dropped an allen key and another small piece inside the engine, so had to remove both tanks off the bike to look for them 🙁
Great feeling to do work on your own machine though 🙂
