Ufff – very long day again – half dry half wet – and a LOT of cross wind – actually driving most of the time with the bike leaned over about 20 degrees – annoying mostly because of the noise it creates around the helmet – very annoying.
The gear is holding up very well – even the Alpine Star glove is holding up – the trick is to put the jacket OVER the glove and not how it’s “designed” to be worn, glove over the jacket. The problem with that is that the water starts dripping into glove…
In any case – stopped at a small town called Murdo in South Dakota.
Again decided not to camp due to my wet gear and because the camping sites were truly depressive… and no internet… maybe tomorrow… hehehe… lets see.

So it looks like another 100 miles or so of rain. At least it only
started an hour ago. I'm in Mitchell – west of Salem on the map…

To take a break from the rain and follow a friend's suggestion I
stopped at this place – no idea what it is… Let's see 🙂

Pretty uneventfull ride till now except for a flock of geese or some
other large bird migrating south – just like me 🙂

So off to the 5th day of the trip… going to try to get to Badlands
National Park – 445 miles – very long stretch for one day but let’s
see how far I go… forecast is a little rain on the way but I should
plow through it in no time 🙂

Argh!! Problems with my credit card – several unrecognized withdrawals
and purchases!!! Call with Citibank keep getting dropped. They're
going to have to cancel my card and I will have to go to an agency to
sort it out.

Unnecessary aggravation 🙁

Kind of out of sync with the other updates but here’s a little bit of video I took during these first 4 days 🙂

Seemed like a "major" city and was getting tired – nice houses by the
lake. Going to check the weather but I think I'm just going to get a
hotel again tonight – very windy and grey skies 🙂
