iPhone Unlock site

Just for reference – found this site, iPhone.Unlock.no, to be by FAR the best site for unlocking your iPhone. It addresses most situations, 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 unlocking, unbricking, jailbreaking, activating and all.
Note: 1.1.2 out of the box(OTB) iPhones have not been unlocked via software as of yet. This has only been achieved by using TurboSIM – a very cool product – a SIM card and APIs to develop SIM Toolkit applications + 802.15.4 2.4GHz radio for mobile phones AND ZigBee optional! The “hackers” used it to unlock the iPhone’s GSM features.

Relaxing day

Went shopping for Caleb’s space pet materials today – a great break from school and the computer. Ate in China Town and biked around downtown NY. Not too cold.
Here are some pictures of the purchases and the Apple store that opened yesterday on 14th St. and 10th Ave. Very nice.

Karen Couto on Caras magazine

My good friend Karen Couto, chef, is portrayed on the Brazilian magazine Caras – a gossip magazine with huge circulation. She is featured for her work in Barcelona along side with the world famous Ferran Adria from the restaurant elBulli. From what I hear, they are fully booked for the next YEAR!

iBricked my iPhone but iBrought it back!

UFF!! Thought I had permanently damaged my iPhone. I accidentally did an upgrade I was not supposed to do and the phone would not restore, reactivate, recognize the SIM card and so on… After an entire afternoon and night I managed to get it going following these instructions:

Follow these instructions if you bricked an iPhone unlocked by AnySIM 1.0.2 and upgraded to 1.1.1 resulting in the “Unrecognized SIM…” a.k.a. “0049 IMEI” problem. I tried doing step 2.5 with no success but in the end it did not matter – the fix for the corrupt seczone – or “re virginizer” fixed the IMEI problem. Finally I updated to 1.1.1 in DFU mode and unshackled it by going to www.jailbreakme.com on the iPhone itself. Ufff!
And now it starts all over again with the 1.1.2 update – but apparently it’s only a minor update that does not affect the “TIF exploit” fix used in to unlock 1.1.1.
